Iron and Steelmaking 2019


The aim of the conference is to create a space for the presentation of the latest knowledge and trends in science and technical development in metallurgy. This event is a traditional meeting of experts of scientific-research institutions and representatives of the industrial practice.

In the framework of the conference there is a chance for gaining the latest trends in the field of iron and steel production. This edition is enhanced by a new attractive areas relating to energy transformations in the industry, as well as non-ferrous and non-metallic materials.

The conference Iron and Steelmaking 2019 offers, as a high professional leveled event, a space for interconnection of scientific community with professional practice.

Language of the conference is Slovak, Czech, Polish and English (without an interpreter).

Proceedings of abstracts

Conference proceedings

  • Papers are accepted in English language.
  • Paper should not exceed 6 pages, including appendices.
  • We also offer the possibility of advertising in the proceedings of the conference for those who are interested in.

    "Abstracts" – the printed publication
    Before the conference the abstracts will be processed into printed publication "Abstracts". This publication you will receive at the conference. The publication will include a list of the abstracts with the relevant information (author, company/institution, city, state, co-authors, associate, company/institution).

    Submitted papers will be reviewed after the conference. The accepted lectures will be included in „Conference Proceedings“ and sent for reviewing and potential indexing to Web of Science (formerly Thomson Reuters, now owned by Clarivate Analytics) and Scopus (Elsevier).
    Criteria for accepting a lecture into the Conference Proceedings:
  • lecture focused on the session topic,
  • proceeded paper according to the template,
  • paid conference fee
  • lecture presented at the conference,
    • is a necessity.
    During the reviewing process authors may be asked to correct the flaws. Reviewer asks the author to correct the lecture max. twice. If the author fails to deliver the corrected paper, or if the corrected paper does not meet the criteria, the program committee reserved the right to reject the paper.
    The organizing Committee do not guarantee that the conference proceedings will be published in above mentioned services. Publication of the proceeding depends on internal rules of above mentioned companies.

    The scientific committee will categorize submitted papers to the lecture and poster sessions. The authors will be informed about acceptation of their papers in advance.

    Payment by bank transfer: up to the 15th September 2019
    Double bedded room: 380 EUR
    Single room: 480 EUR
    To the date 26th July 2019 all single-bedded rooms are already booked.

    The conference fee includes: publication costs, the payment of additional conference materials and services, full catering during the conference, accommodation, coffee breaks, and wellness - sauna world free entry.

    The outcome of the conference will be the proceedings of the lectures. There is also a possibility for the participants of the conference to take part in the creation of a monograph „Modern Metallurgy“. This monograph is prepared by the Institute of metallurgy. For those who will be interested in publishing the chapter in this monograph, we will provide more information directly during the conference.
